Highclere Castle’s Easter Egg Trail

Join us on Saturday, 11th April to explore our gardens and woodland and discover the Highclere Castle Easter Egg Trail. At the end of the Trail, each child will win a chocolate Easter Egg or an alternative dairy-free treat!

We would very much welcome children to take part in our Easter Bonnet parade; please do bring your creations along with you.

We hope that the children will enjoy a bouncy slide (this is weather dependent and may be subject to an additional charge) and meeting some of our farm animals.

We ask you to kindly pre-book adult tickets and confirm how many children you are bringing so that we can ensure every child receives an Easter egg once they have completed the trail.

The adult garden ticket is £15 per person which gives access to the Easter Egg Trail, Gardens and Grounds, Tea Rooms and Gift Shop. Please note, this ticket does NOT include access to either the Castle or the Egyptian Exhibition.

We ask that a donation is given on the day on behalf of each child to our chosen charity when you arrive to collect their map for the Easter Trail. We suggest £5 per child, but welcome additional donations.

Highclere Castle is proud to support  "Imagine This" as our chosen charity for this event. This is such a fantastic charity - in fact, the only one that is solely dedicated to improving the mental wellbeing of seriously ill children across the UK. They deliver a vast range of imaginative, innovative and empowering projects in children's hospices, hospitals and other community settings, helping children and families navigate their journey with connection, resilience and hope.

Our Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at 12:30pm and is free to enter with prizes awarded for the most wonderful bonnets.

The Easter Egg Trail will run from 10:00am until 2.30pm
The Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at 12.30pm
The event will end at 4:00pm
The Grounds close at 5:00pm

Our "Picnic Afternoon Tea for Two" is not available with this event. However, our normal Tea Rooms will be open from 9:30am until 5pm, serving light lunches, snacks, cake, scones and tasty Easter treats!

If the weather is adverse and you are not able to visit, please note that tickets are non-refundable, but all ticket sales will be donated to "Imagine This".
