Summer Public Opening 2025
Tickets are available for the Castle, Egyptian Exhibition & Gardens during the Summer as follows:
Sunday 6th July 2025 – Thursday 28th August 2025.
Closed Friday and Saturday each week. (Also closed Wednesday 13th August). Please read through the information below. Availability can be viewed on the calendar at the foot of this page.

There is no need to book a ticket for under 4s. Children of this age will be admitted free of charge.
There are three admission times. Please note you are welcome to enter the Castle at any time within your booked window. In order to book, please choose a date on the selector below, followed by a ticket type, then your admission time to the Castle.
• Morning Admission: Admission between 10:00am – 12:30pm
• Midday Admission: Admission between 12:30pm – 2:30pm
• Afternoon Admission: Admission between 2:30pm – 4:00pm.
Last admission to the Castle is 4:00pm. Regardless of your ticket timing, you are welcome to visit the Gardens, Tearooms and Gift Shop throughout the day. The Gardens, Tearooms and Gift Shop all close at 5pm and the park gates at 5:30pm.
Tours of the Castle and Egyptian Exhibition are on a self-guided basis, with guides throughout to provide information and assistance.
PICNIC AFTERNOON TEAS
We are pleased to offer an opportunity to combine your visit to Highclere Castle with our "Picnic Afternoon Tea for Two" - a selection of delicious cakes, scones and sandwiches with a Half Bottle of Joseph Perrier Champagne served in a beautiful box.
We offer a Standard Menu, Vegetarian Menu and a Gluten-Free Menu. These menu options apply to the entire Picnic Box. We are unable to offer mixed menus within one Box. We cannot guarantee that our products are either dairy free or nut free. For details on our Menus for "Picnic Afternoon Tea", please click HERE.
If you wish to add a "Picnic Afternoon Tea for Two" box to your order, you can select this add-on option below.
Our Picnic Afternoon Tea Boxes are £75 for two people.
If you wish to buy tickets for the Castle Tours and Champagne Afternoon Tea in the Coach House please click HERE to go to the ticket page. (You cannot add on Champagne Afternoon Tea in the Coach House having bought tickets from this page. It must be bought as one package).
Your tickets are sent by email at the end of the purchase. Please do check your "junk" folder. A copy of your tickets will also be left in your account in this website for you to print whenever you choose before you arrive here.
