Castle Christmas Tours
Tuesday 8^th December 2026

Tickets: £100 Donation to Highclere Church

Walk up the drive towards the Castle between lines of Christmas trees before escaping the cold weather as you are welcomed into the Saloon to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the real Downton Abbey, sumptuously decorated for Christmas.

Your ticket includes entry to the Castle and an opportunity to tour the main State Rooms before wending your way upstairs to the Bedrooms and Gallery, where festive garlands cascade down the two main staircases.

You will also enjoy access to the fascinating Egyptian Exhibition, which tells the remarkable story of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922 by the 5^th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter.

Please take the opportunity to explore the Gardens and Grounds at your own leisure and visit the Gift Shop where we hope you will find some charming Christmas gifts for friends and family to complete your shopping.

To make your visit even more special, your ticket includes a complimentary cup of tea and a traditional minced pie, as well as a signed copy of "Christmas at Highclere", a perfect memento of your time at the Castle.

The Grounds will open at 9am and entry to the Castle is between 10.00am and 1.00pm.

Depending on guest numbers, we may well begin in the Exhibition followed by the Castle or vice versa. You will all have plenty of time to see both and have mince pies and coffee. The Grounds will close promptly at 1.30pm.

Please note this event is being held entirely in aid of Highclere Church.
Should you wish to purchase a ticket, please email us at [email protected]

We will then ask you to transfer the donation directly to the Church before emailing you your ticket(s). Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to any other event. If you cannot attend, please find a friend to come in your stead or the admission fee simply becomes a donation to the Church.
