Lord and Lady Carnarvon are delighted to welcome Patrons & Friends of Highclere to an exclusive Christmas Tour & Afternoon Tea on Saturday 14th December 2024.

Please note, the maximum booking size is 2 tickets, per one Friends of Highclere membership.
There is no concession rate available for this event.

Guests will be welcomed into the saloon, at the heart of the Castle, with tea and coffee for a special welcome with Lady Carnarvon and the opportunity to have your photo taken in front of our magnificent 24ft Christmas Tree.
Visitors will then enjoy a tour of the Castle with our knowledgeable guides and experience the magic of the Christmas decorations, from the festive trees to the stair garlands and the floral displays.
Experience the decorated Castle State Rooms, climb the Oak Staircase, explore the bedrooms, and channel your inner Lord and Lady Grantham as you take in the beauty of the Castle at Christmas time.
Guests are then invited to descend into Highclere's cellars to discover the Egyptian Exhibition, and learn of the world-famous discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter.
Following your guided tour, sit down to a delicious Afternoon Tea and enjoy a glass of Champagne in our spectacular Christmas marquee. Father Christmas is very much hoping to join you!
Please take the opportunity to explore the Grounds and Gardens at your own leisure. You will also be welcome to visit the Gift Shop, where we hope you will discover some charming Christmas gifts for friends and family! Tickets also include a gift bag per booking. You will be directed to collect this before leaving.
This tour begins promptly at 2:00pm and will last for approximately 1 hour, followed by time to explore the Egyptian Exhibition. You will then make your way to the marquee for Afternoon Tea, lasting 45 minutes.
Guests are invited to arrive from 1:00pm onwards, to explore the Gardens in daylight before their tour. The Grounds close promptly at 5:00pm. The dress code for the event is smart/casual with sensible outdoor wear should you wish to explore the Gardens.
